CLAUDIO MARQUEZ ADRIAN RAFAEL _ Christmas in Kenya
How is Christmas celebrated in Kenya?
December 25 is a public holiday in Kenya. Schools, offices, and most businesses close that day. This allows Kenyans to travel to their hometowns to celebrate the holiday with their family.
Many people travel out of major cities to more remote villages to prepare for Christmas. As a result, traffic jams are common on Christmas Eve, sometimes lasting for hours.
Also the people of Kenya go to the churches in the early morning of the next day to pray to the churches that most of these are open for the people and after that many people invite them to eat as an act of generosity
